Volusia County School District presents our ‘All Day, Every Day’ attendance initiative.Your student’s future is built one school day at a time; All Day, Every day! When your student misses just 2 days of school a month:1. They lose 20 days of learning by year's end2. That's 30 hours of crucial math instruction missed3. 60 hours of essential reading and writing practice vanished4. By graduation, this pattern results in over a year of missed education. We understand that life happens. Illnesses occur, emergencies arise. But when possible, prioritize your child's presence in school. Each day is a vital piece of their educational journey.Tips to improve attendance:1. Establish consistent nighttime and morning routines2. Prepare school clothes and school materials the night before3. Schedule appointments outside school hours when possible4. Communicate with teachers about any attendance challenges5. Discuss the importance of attendance with your student.6. Register for and regularly monitoring the Parent Portal is key to staying informed about your child's attendance and academic progress.Join our ‘All Day, Every Day’ initiative. Together, we can ensure every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed through consistent attendance. Volusia County Schools: Empowering a Culture of Excellence for your child's future, through consistent attendance, All Day, Every Day!

History has been made in the #32725! For the first time in school history, Deltona High School has earned an 'A' rating with an impressive 67 total points. This monumental achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication, hard work, and excellence of our incredible students, staff, and community. I am immensely proud to have been a part of this story and to witness the relentless pursuit of greatness that has brought us to this moment. This is more than a letter; it’s a reflection of our commitment to excellence, our passion for education, and our belief in the potential of every student!

I am proud to begin this journey with a dedicated Student Service Team. A group of key players whose hard work and commitment are the backbone of our initiatives. We believe in creating a supportive and nurturing environment where every student will thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Today, I introduce them to some hardware for each of their departments, to recognize the work of their key players in each division, elementary and secondary. Together with TLL, we’re not just teaching, we’re nurturing the whole child, and ensuring every student has the support needed to enhance academic success.
